Two trends are still holding strong in 2009 - the popularity of Twitter and mashups. Using only XHTML/CSS and Javascript, the clan at Quodis Labs has created a beautiful real-time visualisation of updates in the Twitterverse. Dubbed Tori’s Eye, visitors simply click each origami bird as it “flies” across your screen and read the message it’s carrying. You can always change the default search (twitpic) to anything that interests you. Truly a different and quirky way to present information.

Check out this Augmented Reality Business Card from James Alliban on Vimeo. I’m jealous. Very jealous. Incredibly bad ass.

Wallpaper’s just launched a new interactive portion of their website which aims to catalogue and document a selection of products their editorial staff likes. They’re adding new items to it regularly so I’m sure it’ll come to be useful, or at least inspirational. Great selection of goodies which are browsable by room or product. Check it out.

The Split Ring Key: Another great product from Scott Amron, the designer behind the New Soap Old Bottle we covered a few months ago. Carry your keys on your other key. Real working key blank. Key blank can be cut by any key cutter to fit KW1 or SC1 keyways.
He’s also selling a 30% stake in his “Split Ring Key Blank Patent”… I inquired to find out how much he is looking for. Via PSFK

LG's GD910: in the UK next month
The LG Touchscreen Watch Phone – also know as the GD910 – will be sold by Orange in the UK, but only for a “limited time period”.
Orange has yet to confirm how much the futuristic timepiece will cost, but it has previously been speculated that the device will cost about £1000 ($1458/€1140).
The network operator said that the "handcrafted" device will be available “at an exclusive price point” – which is undoubtedly code for 'expensive' – on either pay-as-you-go or SIM-only options.
See the LG watchphone demo'd for Register Hardware on video here
An integrated camera lets the GD910’s wearer make video calls over a 3G connection of up to 7.2Mb/s. The device also features voice recognition, text-to-speech functionality, Bluetooth, an MP3 player and 1.4in touch-sensitive screen. ®

Aimée Wilder is a New York based designer that has collaborated with Vans on shoe design and Skip Hop for their line of bags and baby bedding. This being unplggd and all, what really caught our eye was her wallpaper. The analog nights line to be exact. We have seen pixel inspired wallpaper and even blankets as wall coverings, but there is just something so right about seeing a repeated pattern of cassette tapes, turntables, speakers and keyboards...

This small apartment in France features a cube, suspended from the ceiling that divides the open plan and acts as a bedroom. The odd, bi-level studio space was re-designed by architects
Emmanuel Combarel Dominique Marrec. The new suspended cube (which only is connected to the ceiling) helps ease the transition between the low living space and the mezzanine that supports areas for a kitchen, dining and bathroom.
The suspended box is made of a metal structure covered with wooden panels. The cube — as well as the floor, the walls and the ceiling, has been painted with a white polyurethane resin.
And the all-over white helps unite the apartment into a single space with mulitple zones. You can see even more pictures at
